Brenda Boss is a Cape Coral Florida artist with a wide variety of artistic styles, mediums, textures, and subjects. Her artwork reflects her focus on color - colors that emit energy, movement, calm... always a beautiful complimentary color palette.
Her philosophy, which she admits is somewhat cliched is that she only paints things that will bring a smile. 'Making art is oh so fun!'
The variety of her work stands out in that she does not limit herself to one style or genre of art. She gets an idea, thinks it will be fun, and goes for it. (And some of those get painted over... they don't always work out as envisioned!)
For quick projects to break up a busy day, she sometimes paints pop art or funky critters that have witty eyes and smiles.
Much of her work is large format and has texture and dimension. She encourages people - 'go ahead and touch it - that's why it's dimensional!'
She is influenced by artists that have fun with their work. Her subject matter is abstract beach and ocean scenes, Florida wildlife (egrets, pelicans, owls, fish and more), abstract skies and flowers, and more.
